School Supply Drive
One of our community’s favorite initiatives is the annual T&E Care School Supply Drive. This program provides school supplies and backpacks to students in need, helping them begin the school year confident and prepared.
The School Supply Drive has supported hundreds of local students since 2006. Families who live in Tredyffrin or Easttown and need assistance with purchasing school supplies may be eligible to participate. Students do not need to attend a TESD public school.
Planning for the School Supply Drive begins each year in February with a small, dedicated committee. Each year in late spring (typically April/May), the drive collects donations of funds, supplies, gift cards, and backpacks from local residents, community groups, and businesses.
In June, many additional volunteers step in to help sort, organize, and assemble the supplies and backpacks. The supplies are ready for pick-up by families in August so the students are ready to go at the start of the year.
Volunteers opportunities include:
- Help moving supplies from the delivery point to the assembly location after the last day of school for TESD – 2026 dates TBD
- Help assembling supplies and backpacks – a sign-up will be available in May
- Groups or teams interested in helping are welcomed to help with moving supplies or with assembly
- Groups or teams may “adopt a grade”

Just wanted to send a big “I thank you” to T&E Care for the school supply bags this year. My children loved them and they give the kiddos a bunch of cool new items to go to school with. Thank you again for your efforts and generosity.
I just wanted to send a thank you for helping with organizing the school supplies for my daughter. I cannot begin to explain how grateful we are for the assistance from T&E Care. We are so lucky to live in a comunity that gives back as much as ours does! My daughter is really looking forward to a great year in school.
Thank you very much for your help!! School supplies are a huge deal – they used to cost us $50-$100, depending on whether my two kids need backpacks. We couldn’t have them without you!
