School Meal Assistance

The T&E Care School Meal Assistance Program provides qualifying children with additional funds to help them purchase breakfast and/or lunch during the school year.  The T&E Care program is a transition for families making just above the threshold to qualify for free/reduced meal assistance from the school district.

The approved amounts for the 2025-26 school year are: $40/mo/elementary school child, $50/mo/middle school child, and $60/mo/CHS student. The amount deposited for the month of June 2026 may be adjusted.

Eligibility

  • Families who live in the T/E School District
  • Families who have applied for free/reduced meal assistance from the school district and have been denied support
  • Families who have an income level up to 300% of the federal poverty level (the free/reduced limit is 185%)
  • Families who do not have high negative balances on their children’s point-of-sale accounts at the time of application

How to Apply

  1. Families must first apply for free/reduced meal assistance through the school district and receive an official denial letter. Click here for the school program
  2. Complete the T&E Care Meal Assistance Application. Forms are also available through your child’s counselor
  3. Submit the application to your child’s counselor

Additional Information

  • Complete one application per household. If you have more than one child, submit the application to your oldest child’s counselor
  • Applications can be submitted at any time during the school year after August 20th
  • Short-term assistance for special situations above the 300% limit may be considered
