    • Eviction Prevention Program – emergency rent assistance

    • Provides qualifying low-income consumers a monthly discount of up to $9.25 on essential internet or phone services to ensure connectivity
    • Eligibility: income at or below 135% of federal poverty level, use of federal assistance programs, or special qualification if you are a survivor of domestic violence, human trafficking, or related crimes

  • FLITE Preschool Tuition Assistance Program
    • The Foundation for Learning in Tredyffrin and Easttown can help make preschool more affordable
    • Eligibility: must live in Tredyffrin or Easttown Township

  • Child Care Works
    • In Chester County, the Early Learning Resource Center (ELRC) 19 administers the Child Care Works subsidized child care program which will pay all or part of your child care cost – you may have to pay a co-pay
    • ELRC 19 is Chester County located at the CCIU (intermediate unit), 455 Boot Road, Downingtown, PA
    • Eligibility: you must meet income guidelines based on family size and work or attend an education program, among other guidelines

  • TESD Kindergarten Enrichment
    • What: 1/2 day kindergarten enrichment at A Child’s Place (ACP) in your child’s elementary school

    • This organization based in Phoenixville, PA assists residents of Chester County 
    • Their JumpStart Program offers 0% interest car repair loans up to $1,000 – income and documented repair estimate to pass state inspection or to ensure vehicle safety is required – 610-280-1023 or jumpstart@openhearthinc.org
    • Their Family Savings Partner Program provides a 1:3 match toward the purchase of a car – program waitlist is currently closed as of 1/29/26 – 610-280-1033 or talexander@openhearthinc.org 
  • Chesco Connect
    • Community transit program for Chester County, specializing in door-to-door shared ride transporation for medical appointments, pharmacy visits, grocery shopping, and other purposes
    • Eligiblity: all Chester County residents, some riders eligible for reduced rates including seniors 65+, individuals with disabilities aged 18-64, and individuals with medical assistance (when traveling for medically-related purposes) – check eligiblity here
    • Fares are pre-paid or exact change, rides must be reserved at least 1 business day in advance before 1pm, rides are available from M-F from 7am-5:30pm

    • CHIP provides free or low-cost health coverage for uninsured children up to age 19 whose families earn too much for Medicaid but cannot afford private insurance – eligiblity based on family size and income guidelines

    • Provides grants to families to help pay for child healthcare that are above and beyond what is normally covered by insurance
    • Grants up to $5,000 in one 12-month period with lifetime maximum of $10,000

    • Eligibility: Children 16 or younger, household income limits apply, children must have a social security number, other restrictions may apply
