Summer Camp Assistance
The T&E Care Summer Camp Assistance Program helps families cover the cost of one or two weeks of summer camp when attendance would otherwise be a financial hardship. Financial assistance up to $500 per camper is available to families who live in Tredyffrin and Easttown Townships.
Funds in this program are limited and are award on a first-come, qualifying basis.
The 2026 Summer Camp Assistance Program is now open. Apply early! Applications will close when funds are fully allocated or on June 30, 2026, whichever comes first.
Eligibility
- Childs lives in Tredyffrin or Easttown Township
- Demonstrated financial need
- If accepted, must commit to regular attendance at the selected camp(s)
How to Apply for Summer Camp Assistance

- Select a camp your child wants to attend. T&E Care does not choose camps for families
- A list of local camp options is provided below, but you may choose a camp not on this list
- The camp does not need to be located in Tredyffrin or Easttown
- If you are interested in a T&E Care partner camp that offers scholarships or special discounts, please contact us at camp@tecare.org to confirm availability before moving on to step 2.

- Note: If you plan on attending YMCA camps, you must first apply for financial aid through the YMCA, before submitting an application to T&E Care

- Whenever possible, do not pay the registration fee in advance – ask if the camp can hold your child’s spot

Tips on Affordable Camp Options
- Township camps, Vacation Bible School, and library programs are often low-cost or free and can provide multiple weeks of programming
- The Upper Main Line YMCA offers financial aid, a wide range of camps, and extended-day options. Pick up a Financial Aid application at the YMCA service desk and apply as early as possible. If you are selecting a YMCA camp, you must apply for their financial aid before requesting assistance from T&E Care.
- For students entering grades 5 through 12, FLITE provides financial assistance to various academic, fine arts, and leadership camps. Visit the FLITE website or ask your child’s guidance counselor for more information.

Note: If a camp is free or your child receives a scholarship direclty from the camp, you do not need to go through T&E Care to attend.

For middle school and high school students interested in a leadership or academic camp, the Foundation for Learning in T/E (FLITE) may be able to help cover the costs for some of these camps. Easttown Township Day Camp

Local General Camps
These are local camps that offer a variety of activities and lots of options. They are not cheap but many offer extensive scholarship options through their own programs. However, these scholarships are usually taken quickly, so check immediately to see if they are available. The T&E Care Summer Camp Assistance Program may help up to $500 per camper, if funds are available.

Upper Main Line YMCA

- Camp programs include but are not limited to: gym and field games, sports, drama, swiming, arts and crafts, cooking, music, outdoor living, science and nature, STEM, academic enrichment activities
- Your MUST apply for and receive financial-based assistance from the Y to qualify for T&E Care support.
- Another option for the Y is to buy a family membership for the summer. You may qualify for funding from the T&E Care Summer Camp Assistance Program to help instead of covering the cost of individual camps.

Bright Side Lacrosse Camp

Pioneers Basketball Camp

- Troop K Camp Cadet provides insight into police training and the overall expectations of a police officer. The program is true-to-life, patterned after Pennsylvania State Police training. This is not a recreational camp, nor a disciplinary camp for problem youth. It is designed to bring a better understanding of law enforcement activities to the participatns as they learn self-dicipline, make new friends, and work as part of a team.

Many local churches offer a week of camp for area children for free or low cost. You do not need to be a member of the church to register – they are open to everyone.
