The Berwyn Devon Business & Professional Association, in conjunction with Bryn Mawr Trust, held its 2nd Annual Wellness Festival on May 18, 2014. There were lots of fun activities, food, and booths by local businesses. Activities for adults and kids included: rock climbing, a moon bounce, a zip line, a scavenger hunt, hula hoops, and zumba. Many folks enjoyed this special event, and he proceeds will be divided among Daemion Counseling Center, the T/E Dental Clinic, The Berwyn Vets, and T&E Care. They also recognized Sandi Gorman as the Citizen of the Year. This is actually a recognition for T&E Care in general - what a great organization!! Thanks for any support you offered and we hope you had fun!
New Eagle Fun Run a huge success! Thanks to NEES students and families for participating in the recent Fun Run, April 25, 2014! Over 300 students ran the one mile course to raise money for T&E Care and FLITE. The weather cooperated to make this event, sponsored by Johnson Matthey, a huge success. We really appreciate the support of so many NEES families!

T&E Care Is Now Able to Accept Donations of Stock Starting in July 2013 T&E Care is set up to be able to accept donations of stock. Giving long-term (owned more than a year), appreciated securities may provide a great benefit to you and Tredyffrin & Easttown Care. First, you will receive a tax deduction for the full market value of the securities as long as you have owned them for at least one year. Second, you avoid the capital gains tax that you would owe if you sold these securities. See more information about donating securities, by clicking on the certificate on the right.

Making a donation to T&E Care in lieu of a gift
Are you struggling to think of the perfect gift for the person on your list who has everything? Consider making a donation to T&E Care in his/her name? This option is always available - at the holidays or anytime of year. Information on making donations to honor others can be found on our donations page. A letter will be sent to your recipient alerting them of your kind donation (or we can send a card to you for you to wrap and give yourself).
Thanks for considering this option.
Many THANKS for the recent donations ....
June 2014 - A big thanks to CCRES (Chester County Regional Educational Services) for the award of a $5000 grant toward our College Assistance Program. We very much appreciate their support (for two consecutive years) for this very important part of T&E Care's mission to help local families get into better situations. The mission of CCRES is to ensure quality educational and human service programs for children, families, and schools. For more information on CCRES, go to www.ccres.org.
June 2014 - Two shout-outs to community partners! Dr. Jonathan Voiner (Main Line Center for Oral & Facial Surgery, Paoli) recently did some dental work for a community member and gave a significant discount due to her financial situation. And Diantonio's Auto Repair (Paoli) did some work on a car for a local family and also gave a significant discount. It's so great to have local businesses offering assistance to families in need!
June 2014 - Huge thanks to the Berwyn Devon Business and Professional Association for their recent donation of $1500 as the result of the recent Wellness Festival. We are proud to receive this donation along with Daemion Counseling Center, The TESD Dental Clinic, and the local Berwyn Vets.
June 2014 - Last month the Girl Scout Troop 4161 from VFES put together 16 birthday bags that we were able to hand out to local families. These bags are filled with the supplies needed to hold a birthday party - cake mix, candles, plates, napkins, and all sorts of other goodies! Many thanks to the girls and leader Jenni DiMaio for their efforts!!
June 2014 - The VFMS PTO ran a fund raiser earlier this year and Trish McFillin, chair of the event, used some of the funds to get extra tickets to Hershey Park. We handed these out to 10 local families who were all thrilled to have this special event available this summer!
May 2014 - Thanks to the Valley Forge Middle School PTO for their recent support of T&E Care. We also thank the parents in the Conestoga Class of 2014 for making a donation in honor of the class chair, Cammy Wagner. We always appreciate the partnerships with the PTOs and school groups.
April 2014 - Many thanks to Jennifer on the Avenue (Berwyn) for running a fund raiser for T&E Care - donating a portion of the sales on a particular day to our efforts!
April 2014 - Thanks to St. Luke Lutheran Church for a wonderful donation through their Social Ministry outreach mission. We are thankful for this wonderful partnership!
March 2014 - The Grab Bag is over and many folks deserve our thanks for helping out. But a HUGE shout out again goes to St. Matthew's United Methodist Church for hosting the event again this year. The church is the most amazing host site - we just can't say enough thanks!
February 2014 - Thanks again to Art Roman of The Kitchen Workshop in Paoli for hosting a soup cooking class, with 100% of the proceeds coming to T&E Care. Great job Art!
February 2014 - Many thanks to St. John's Presbyterian Church for offering a donation to us through their Deacon Program. It's always helpful to have these relationships!
January 2014 - Back in December the United Church of Christ Valley Forge ran an Alternative Gift Market with the proceeds going to T&E Care. We were thrilled to receive the check from UCCVF and appreciate them thinking of us with this event.
January 2014 - Many thanks to Brandywine Realty Trust for their donation of 15 laptops that will soon be refurbished and ready to be handed out. These can truly make a difference in the lives of others!
January 2014 - A million thanks to the local Ministerium for recognizing T&E Care with the collection plate at the Thanksgiving service held at Main Line Unitarian Church. In addition, T&E Care was on the alternative gift list for both Berwyn United Methodist Church and St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church this past holiday season. We really appreciate this support!
January 2014 - MUCH appreciation for being selected again to receive support for our camp program from the Shand Tract Tyler Hedges Day and 5K Race. This is the 4th year we've received a donation from this group and it's always a welcome gift for our campers!
January 2014 - Many thanks to two great foundations that have selected us to receive grants - the Nelson Foundation and the PNC Foundation. The funds from the Nelson Foundation will be used for our important College Assistance Program, and the PNC funds will be used for medical related requests.
January 2014 - Special thanks to some amazing local companies and groups for recently giving us donations: ViroPharma Inc., Perspective Financial Group, the BFF Friendship Foundation, Good Sports, and Fox & Roach Charities. What great partners!
